The stunning course is often affected by the stern Atlantic breezes, making it a formidable proposition, but one that will certainly be enjoyable. Vignes Course The 6,802 yard Vignes is Golf du Médoc’s second course, but it is certainly not inferior. Designed by Canadian Rod Whitman, the Vignes is distinctly different in character than the Chateaux, as it carves through the towering pines, with more of a parkland accent. The par-5s are particularly challenging, and Whitman’s most notable legacy is his strategic placement of telling bunkers, which will only be safely negotiated by the most prudent player.
